Glaciation du Weichsélien/Würm/de la Vistule

Le Weichsélien, le Würm et la glaciation de la Vistule correspondent tous trois à la dernière glaciation en Europe du Nord s'étendant de -70 000 ans à -11 000 ans.

Le terme de Weichsélien est tiré de l'allemand. En Pologne, cette glaciation est appelée Glaciation Vistulienne, en référence à la Vistule, cours d'eau du nord-est de l'Europe continentale.

Ce terme désigne la même chose que le Würm, nom donné à la dernière période glaciaire identifiée dans les Alpes.
